PTA Reflections Contest

The national organization for the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) supports arts education in many ways. Their Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts. This boosts student confidence and contributes to success in the arts and later in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This program develops artistic literacy, increases confidence, and helps students develop a love of learning that contributes to current and future success.

This Year's Theme & Contest

This year's theme was I am hopeful because. Students were able to submit entries in a variety of artistic media. On Friday, February 23, the Fairfax County Council PTA (FCCPTA) Reflections Committee awarded some of our Haycock students with District-level honors! Special thanks to Dr. Beaty who attended the evening ceremony.
