On December 15, 2017, Haycock students heard from parents whose careers started with childhood affinities.  Students asked engaging questions and were inspired to read more about their own affinities.

  1. Nate Emory shared his affinity for photography. He has documented historic events as a White House photographer. He has worked for both President Obama and President Trump.
  2. Lauren Telchin-Katz shared her affinity for museums. She develops exhibitions at the National Museum of American History. She shared how she worked on entertainment pieces, including Kermit the Frog and Dorothy's ruby red slippers from the Wizard of Oz.
  3. Amy Doherty shared her affinity for technology. She spoke about autonomous vehicles, blockchain, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, and nanotechnology.

Thank you to all three of you for sharing your passion with our students at Haycock!
